WHM will beat monk hands down with their current ability sets. if abilities are completely rebalanced for PVP, then that is a different story.
the only chance monk would have of winning would be a pure Lock and burst stratagey. 1. Shoulder tackle 2S Stun. 2.5s GCD you will have to open with ST VS a white mage or youll get stone spammed and owned due to lack of snare breaker
2. Touch of death 2.5 S Recast, Not subject to GCD .5 second use time Applies a good DOT to the target, and doesn't trigger or get locked from GCD
3. Fists of fire - Not subject to GCD .5 second use time
4. Perfect balance - Not subject to GCD .5 second use time this needs to be active to recieve the bonuses from AotD and Dragon kick.
5. Steel Peak - NO GCD, doesnt trigger GCD, 4S Stun Use right as ST stun wears to continue Perpetuating the locking of the target.
6. Internal Release NO GCD +30% crit.
**this is where your damage starts pouring out. about four seconds have passed.
7. Dragon Kick - On GCD Increases the damage to the target by 10%.
8. Twin Snakes 2.5 GCD Increases damage by 10%
8.1 Stun wears, no stuns remain. *** if your opponent panics and heals here, you win. if they water you, you will more than likely die unless you have a remedy. if you can remedy: Fists of wind and run away untill cooldowns are back up.
9. Howling Fist (Not sure if this is off of the GCD or not. if it is, move 8.1 to here) Bads will die from this. if it crits, goods will die. 11 seconds to reach this point (8.5 if HF isnt on GCD)
if your target is still alive: you are currently in Courel form, and perfect balance has just worn off. if water has been countered, great. if not or you cant counter it, prepare to eat dirt (litterally).
10. Snap punch From the flank if possible. this will finish off any stragglers.
